We use a tool that allows us to show you exactly which phone calls came as a result of our marketing efforts.


In order to track the calls, it requires us to add a feature to your website that uses a tracking number in place of your direct phone number.


This tracking number will appear on your website and your google business profile. If we're running social media ads, we will also use tracking numbers on your social profiles.

Won't My Customers Get Confused?

You may be concerned that it will confuse your customers to see different numbers in different places (e.g., website, invoice, GBP). But the fact is that very, very few people will have any idea that the numbers are different. They just click to call on whatever number is in front of them. It's not like they've saved the number in their contacts... (well, maybe one or two have, but they're the exception). We've never had an issue with this.

Can You Track Calls Without Swapping Our Number?

Unfortunately, no. The tracking number is what makes it possible. In most cases this is a requirement to do our job. If you are against call tracking, we won't be a good fit. 

Are You Recording & Listening To The Calls?

The other part of us determining whether or not a lead we got for our clients is a good lead or not, is listening to the call and scoring the quality. With your permission, our team will listen to calls that last longer than 15 seconds to determine if it is a good lead or not. If you're in the medical field, financial services, counseling, or any other sensitive niche, we obviously will not record those calls.


If you'd like us to play a message alerting the caller that the call is being recorded for quality assurance, we are happy to add that.

How Does Call Swapping Work?

Call tracking / Dynamic Number Swapping may be a new concept if you are new to website call tracking. Some think it’s magic because it works so well; we also think it is magical.


When we set up your marketing, we buy a phone number with your same area code and then we ask what number you want us to swap out on your website. Our "script" then finds all versions of the swap numbers and, when triggered, our software swaps the number on your website with the tracking phone number that allows us to track your marketing data including the caller's source, medium, campaign, keyword, lead page and landing page.
